Lancaster Presbyterian Church Renovations & Expansion
Roche & Company teamed with the project architect on the redesign this 160 year old historic church. To achieve the goals of doubling the seating capacity while retaining its original architectural character, the plan orientation was rotated 180 degrees, and the south wall was removed to expand into the addition, creating the new mezzanine.
Existing pews, paneling and windows were refurbished, while the former organ woodwork was reused for the chancel paneling. A glass addition provides a formal narthex, links the adjacent school to the sanctuary and provides equal accessibility to the entire facility.
